Covid-19 Update  - Patient protocol

  1. Appointments will be booked every 1.5 hrs. to allow for treatment of patient and disinfection/sterilization of patient room/lab/equipment etc.

  2. Over the phone, prior to their appointment, the patient will be asked the following questions:

  •   Had you traveled outside of the province in the last 2 weeks?

  • Have you been exposed to a case of Covid-19?

  • Do you have a cough?

  • Do you have flu like symptoms?

  • Do you have a sore throat?

  • Do you have a fever (over 38*C)?

  • Are you having difficulty breathing?

  1. If a patient answers YES to any of the questions, an appointment CAN NOT be booked.  The Patient should use the online Shared Health self-screening tool, call Health Links (204) 774-6581, and self-isolate.

  2. If a patient answers NO to ALL the questions, an appointment will be booked. 

  3. Please ensure to arrive at the clinic door at your assigned appointment time, as only one patient will be allowed in the clinic at a time.

    • Only the patient will be able to enter the clinic, other’s (driver, spouse, family member, etc.) will have to remain in their car.

  4. Upon entering the clinic your temperature will be taken, and you will be asked the same questions, as stated above. And you will need to sanitize your hands upon entry (hand sanitizer will be provided). 

  5. At this point, if you meet all the requirements (all questions were answered with a NO and you do not have a fever) you will be escorted into the patient room.

  6. Once all PPE is donned, treatment will commence.

  7. When treatment is completed, a follow up appointment (if needed) will be booked in the patient room and payment (if required) will be completed.

  8. You will be asked to sanitize your hands again and I will escort you to the door.

THE CLINIC DOOR WILL BE LOCKED AND PATIENTS WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ENTER THE CLINIC AT THEIR ASSIGNED APPOINTMENT TIME,  PLEASE WAIT IN YOU CAR UNTIL THEN.
